新しいアメリカ大統領オバマが誕生しました。
しかし、演説が素晴らしかった。
テレビに向かって思わず拍手してしまいそうでした。
こんな首相が日本にいたら、日本の政治家の中に一人でもいたらと切実に思う次第です。。。

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

どんなことも可能なのがアメリカだということに疑念を抱いている方、建国者たちの夢がまだ生きているのだということに、そしてわたしたちの民主主義の力に疑念を抱いている方、今夜がその答えです。

I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he's fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. I congratulate him and Governor Palin for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation's promise in the months ahead.

Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress. As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, "We are not enemies, but friends...though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection." And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn - I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.

And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright - tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.

アメリカ発金融危機の波を受けた新興国が、経済の混乱ぶりを一段と拡大しています。

アイスランドやウクライナ、ハンガリーに加え、新たにベラルーシやパキスタンも国際通貨基金（ＩＭＦ）などの国際機関や友好国に支援を要請したそうです。

一部の新興国による債務不履行対し、欧米では警戒感が高まっていますが、すでに債務を履行する余力はないとの噂を裏付けるような兆候も現れています。

最近では、ウクライナにて、大手銀行への怪文書騒動で、取り付き騒ぎが起こり、中央銀行が対処する事態になるほどになり、国民の自国の将来に対する不安はますます高まっています。

最近新たにＩＭＦに支援を要請したパキスタンも、年初来からの通貨の下落幅を見る限り、非常に危険な状況です。

ここ最近、株式市場の下落に連れ立って通貨も大きく下落しているのは、ヘッジファンドの影響が強いと思われる。
ヘッジファンドは、株式市場が急激に下落する荒れた局面になりだすと、それを狙って通貨を空売りするというのがヘッジファンドの典型的なパターンだからです。

インドは、まさにこのパターン。。。

しかし、インドとは違って通貨を未だに国家管理としている中国は、お陰でヘッジファンドが手を出せず通過暴落には陥らなかった。
このことにおいては、中国が通貨を自由化せずに国家管理のままにしていたのは幸運だったと思します。

確かに、ヘッジファンドのように、本来的な意味での「投資」をするのではなく、主に「投機」を目的とする人がのさばっているうちは、新興国がその通貨を完全に自由化してしまうのは得策ではないと思う。

ヘッジファンドの獲物になった挙句、経済が落ち込んでしまい、結局は国の開発が大きく遅れるという事態になってしまう可能性が高いからです。。。

レノボと言うと、日本では誰もが「中国パソコン最大手」と言うでしょう。
IBMからそのパソコン事業の営業譲渡を受けた会社です。
実際パソコンが主要事業であるのは間違いないものの、あくまでグループの一子会社にすぎません。
レノボグループは、傘下にITサービス、金融、不動産など優良子会社を幅広く抱え、その目指す姿は米国の巨大企業、ゼネラル・エレクトリック（ＧＥ）のような総合企業グルー プだそうです。

レノボホールディングスはまもなく、マッキンゼーのコンサルティングを受けて策定された中期経営計画を発表するそうです。
恐らく、そのなかで直接投資部門の新設を打ち出すでしょう。
あたかもそれに備えるかのように最近、元マッキンゼーグローバルパートナーの呉亦兵氏を副社長として迎え入れていますしね。。。

この呉氏は、マッキンゼー時代にIBMのPC部門買収の提案をまとめた当の本人であり、レノボとの関わりは深いです。

今後は、レノボホールディングスの直接投資部門のトップとして、戦略投資による次の事業を探し出し育てる責務を担わされるでしょう。
レノボグループの今後の経営方針にも大きな影響を与えそうです。

現在、レノボホールディングスを司令塔とするレノボグループは、各子会社が独立しながらシナジー効果を追求しようとしています。
この企業構造は、極めて柔軟性があり拡張性が豊かであり、日本の企業は大きく見習うべきだと思います。

どんどん大きくなる中国や台湾、インドのメーカーに対し、
我らが日本のメーカーは今後どう対抗していくのでしょうね。。。

アイスランドという国をご存知ですか？
大西洋の北にある小さな国が、金融危機の影響で、国家倒産の危機に瀕しています。

アイスランドでは、金融立国の政策を推進し、銀行の資産規模がＧＤＰの10倍くらいまで拡大していました。外国の投資家から金融機関がたくさんのお金を集め、それをハイリスク・ハイリターンの金融商品に投資して、儲けていたようです。

しかし、一番の問題のサブプライム関連の証券化商品はあまり購入していなかったそうです。

確かに産業も資源もない小国が栄えるためには、金融というのは非常に有効なツールだと思います。資源もらないし、人もそんなにいらない。
たくさんのお金を集めて稼いでもらえるようにするために使い勝手のいい制度を作って、インフラを整え、金融機関のビジネスがしやすいためのオフィスとそこで働く人のための快適な住環境を作ればいいのですから。

ところが、サブプライム問題に端を発した金融危機のために、お金を出していた外人投資家が一斉にお金を引き出しました。そうなると、お金が足りなくなるので、誰かにお金を借りないといけない。でも、どこの国もそれどころではない。お金がなくなると国家だってつぶれてしまう。そこで、ロシアに頼んだようですが、ロシアも大変なようで。。。

また、銀行自体が危なくなってきたので、資金の流出をおさえるため、預金の引き出しを凍結しようとした結果、アイスランドの銀行に英国人や英国の会社がたくさんのお金を預けていた為、英国との関係がおかしくなってきたようです。

小国の発展のために金融立国をめざしたアイスランドがこのような状況なんです。

しかし、小国で他にも金融立国を目指している国はあるはずで、例えばシンガポール。それにドバイ。大丈夫なのでしょうか？？？

先週の株価の乱高下はホント凄いの一言でした・・。
しかし、株の短期的な動きだけに目を奪われていると、先が見えなくなってしまい、さらに消費者心理だけでなく、ビジネスのエネルギーも冷えてしまいかねません。と言いますか、複雑な渦の変化に酔ってしまい、本当は今なにをなすべきかを見えづらくしてしまいます。

株価の動きを見ていると、本当に投資家の心の動き、不安と希望、短期的な市況の読みと各国の政府の動きで、株価も大きく動き、報道もそんな動きに釘付け状態です。
そして、そうなるとさらに心理が冷えるという、負のスパイラ ルに墜ちいってしまうことになります。
今がまさに、そんな状態だと言えると思います。

むしろ、自らの強味を再構築して、独自のポジションを深めること、さらに自らの強味を生かせる分野を広げていかないと先が見えてこない世の中。
我が国のビジネス風土として、と言いますか、日本人の心理の特徴として、自らの弱みを挙げることは容易で、それを改善するのも得意ですが、自らの強味や市場機会を見いだすのはどうも得意ではないようです。
